Meet the Contributors
Kimberly Brown lives, writes, and works in Frosturg, MD. She graduated from Frostburg State University in Spring 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and currently serves with AmeriCorps VISTA as the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing’s Community Outreach Community Coordinator.
Tiffany A. Turbin Santos, a Frostburg native, works as a consultant at the Writing Center at Allegany College of Maryland, occasionally teaching English classes. She also teaches for the Regional Math Science Center’s Upward Bound program during the summer and offers individual and group tutoring services and freelance writing and editing services year round. Beginning in the fall of 2010, she will also be teaching creative writing classes at the new Tri-State Community School of the Arts, located in downtown Cumberland. She graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a self-designed Bachelor of Arts degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Asian Studies. Additionally, she spent a year in Thailand pursuing a certificate in Thai and Southeast Asian Studies, conducting research for her thesis, and traveling the country as well as spending time in Cambodia and Laos. She writes poetry and creative nonfiction, and in her weekly blog she details her adventures as a scooter-riding academic. www.cranberryjade.com
